Neuro linguistic programming II "The meta song"

Eric shared a very wise idea with me today.
Translated is something like this:
"What you're feeling brings a part of a song to your head.
And that's when you know that's the perfect song for your current mood.
Your soul connects to those few words, but then you learn from the rest of the song."

Sir Elton John explains this idea very well:

Guess there are times when we all need to share a little pain
And ironing out the rough spots
Is the hardest part when memories remain
And it’s times like these when we all need to hear the radio
`cause from the lips of some old singer
We can share the troubles we already know

Turn them on, turn them on
Turn on those sad songs
When all hope is gone
Why don’t you tune in and turn them on

They reach into your room
Just feel their gentle touch
When all hope is gone
Sad songs say so much

If someone else is suffering enough to write it down
When every single word makes sense
Then it’s easier to have those songs around
The kick inside is in the line that finally gets to you
And it feels so good to hurt so bad
And suffer just enough to sing the blues

Sad songs, they say
Sad songs, they say
Sad songs, they say
Sad songs, they say so much

Nice post! It's true - sad songs say so much and we can learn from them.

Personally, I could think of a song for every mood. For times when I'm feeling most down there is of course "I won't back down" by Tom Petty!

"Strength doesn't lie in numbers.
Strength doesn't lie in wealth.
Strength lies in nights of peaceful slumbers."

Very insightful - all the money in the world is of no use if you cannot get a decent night's sleep!
